Well….
It has been a long time since our last update… December… Wow…
that is ages ago… it feels like last week…
A lot has
happened since December… Rohan and Beksy quit the band. So the band has
been through a rebuilding/soul searching phase.
Sparing you the details, the band now has a new drummer… Ben… and a
guitarist who is filling the gap until we can find someone more
permanent… Vito.
The band is
gearing up for the Notre Dame College ‘Kool Skools’ project.
And one
final note… Due to the difficulty I have in maintaining this site, I am
choosing to put it on hiatus for a while… We will still be maintaining
our web presence… we are juts doing it in a less high maintenance
way… I am hoping to build a new site on this space, but until then there
are our other sites that will keep you up to date.
There is
naturally double up on the two sites but check them out…

We have changed
the photos section. When you click on the photos link you will end up at our
MSN space’s photos section.
On Friday we played
at Outrageous. It was a good-ish gig. We played quite well but very few people
were there, so that was pretty dodgy. We played a brand new song that went down
quite well, Silenced. The setlist is below.
Slip and Slide
Brighter Day (Never Coming)
Wednesday
Not OK
Reminiscence
(Untitled Song)
Silenced
Don't Turn Out The Lights
Don't Let Me Go
Take Me Home
We are now gonna
have a bit of a break over summer, we are gonna write some new songs and stuff
and come back bigger and better then ever next year.

We played Live At
The Park on Friday, we went really well. It’s a shame more people
weren’t there to see it. We did sell one CD to someone, so that is pretty
cool. If it was you who got the CD, please don’t burn it for your
friends, we need the money to pay for what we do.
Anyway, we played 9 songs
Slip and Slide
Wednesday
Peace, Love, Happiness
Not OK
(Untitled Song)
Brighter Day (Never Coming)
Everything’s Ace
Don’t Let Me Go
Take Me Home
Photos from the
gig are on their way, if you took any and would like us to put them on the site
please e-mail us.
We have one more
gig coming up before the end of the year. It is at OutRAGEous on the 2nd
of December at Eastbank. It should be another great gig with lots of good bands
playing. Entry is $10 and it is for under 18s only. Hope to see you all there.

Some
exiting news from camp Fairyfloss, we won a Battle of the Bands today. For
winning we get some recording time so we will be recording something soon at
Cyber Bunker in Shepparton, so thanks to them for the free studio time.
In other
news, Fairyfloss have another upcoming gig. We are playing at the first
‘Live in the Park’ of the summer; I think it is near the Skate Park
near the Lake in Shepparton. Anyway, it is a free gig for anyone who can come
along and there are about 5 other bands playing I think so it will be a great
time. It is on the 18th of November which is a Friday. I don’t
have all the info, but I will post more on the site when we get told more.
The Kool Skools
CD has arrived and is available at the Notre Dame College offices for $10. It
has 12 songs from artists who attend Notre Dame, including a studio version of
our song ‘Slip and Slide’, so check that out. If you can’t
get to the NDC offices then send us an e-mail and we will see what we can do to
send one out to you.

Haven't
updated in a while so here I am to fill you in on what has happened with
Fairyfloss in the past couple of months.
We
played at Outta Limits and had a great time. The night was great fun. British
India were awesome and blew the crowed away with their energy. They were also
top blokes, funny as. They even dedicated a song to us, Fairyfloss.
The
live CD is now available. It is $10 and can be brought from any member of the
band.
Yesterday
3 members of the band went to Studio 52 in Melbourne to record Slip and Slide
though Kool Skools. It was a great day and the quality of the recording is
excellent. Palador were fantastic too, they recorded two songs and the
production on them was fantastic.
The
Kool Skools CD should be available soon; we will let you know through the
website when we know when.

The
band is in rehearsal for Outta Limits. Outta Limits is next Saturday at the
Shepparton High School Hall. We will be supporting The Spazzys and British
India. We will also be sharing the bill with local bands The Convicts and
Scarlet Rain. It should be great night of good rock music. Tickets are $10 at
the door, and doors open at 7:30.
For
more info on the event, check out the Outta Limits website, www.outtalimits.org
