Fairyfloss

We are Fairyfloss. We formed in February 2005 out of boredom. We have four members: James Clark (Lead guitar, Keyboards and Vox), Ash Beks (Drums, Percussion and Vox), Rohan Liebelt (Rhythm guitar) and James Walters (The Bass Player).

Fairyfloss was founded by Beksy and Clarkey when their last band broke up, we recruited rhythm guitarist Rohan and bassist James and started writing songs.

We are influenced by Gomez, Travis, Coldplay, Tripod, U2, Jack Johnson, G-Love, The Shins, Franz Ferdinand and The Libertines.

BeXee

BeXee is our Drummer. And a damn fine drummer he is. He also does a bit of vocals but can't too often because he is hiding behind the kit. He has been playing in random bands with Clarkey since late 2003. He came up with name Fairyfloss, so blame him. He helps out with song writing. He is heavily influenced by Gomez, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, G-Love, The Shins.

Clarkey

Clarkey is our lead guitarist and Vocalist. He was basically the founder of Fairyfloss along with BeXee. He does most of the song writing with help from Ro and Beksy. He started playing guitar in 2002 and has been in bands with since the middle of 2003. He is influenced by U2, The Beatles, Radiohead, and Queen.

Walters

He is the bass player, keeping the groove. Fairyfloss is his first “real” band. He is influenced by Shannon Birchall (John Butler Trio) and Tim Commerford (RATM). He mainly just plays straight forward bass lines, but occasionally has a little run, or groovy bass line. He is the youngest of the band at 14. His Favorite bands are, John Butler Trio, Rage Against the Machine, Oasis, Ben Harper and Ryan Toohey.

Rohan

Rohan is guitar player for Fairyfloss. He has never been in a band before this one but he has been learning quickly. He has been helping out with songwriting with his lyrics and music ideas.
